Did you know that there is special e-bike clothing out there?
I’ve been wearing this e-bike jacket from Pure Electric for almost a year now and I just love it!
At Eurobike last week, I got it with the Pedelec Adventures logo printed on - how awesome is that?
A big thank you to the team of Pure Electric – Designer Veronica Stampaccia and her father and Engineer Marcello Stampaccia. They founded Pure Electric in Italy, in 2015 to supply e-bike riders with a line of high-tech clothing that serves both, function and fashion. Their high profile design and quality was rewarded with the Eurobike Gold Award in the same year. They receive the award for their Diamond jacket with an integrated, diamond shaped back protector. Well-deserved, if you ask me.
The Plain Jacket model that I am wearing, comes without the integrated back protector and is a bit more of an all-round jacket that you can just wear anywhere at any time for any purpose.
Thanks to a clever mix of breathable garmets, the jacket perfectly adapts to your body and I find it very very comfy to wear. It has protectors on shoulders and elbows that keep you safe while riding.
The contrasting color of the protectors give the jacket an extra eye-catching look as they are visibly placed in specially designed mesh pockets. A zipper allows to open each pocket and easily remove the pad. And off you go to dinner or the next party! No need to worry about the weather as the jacket still protects you from wind and rain. For better visibility while riding in the dark, Pure Electric offers reflecting covers that you can pull over the protector pads.
The Jacket comes with matching trousers - either shorts or long pants - that follow the same principle of combining high-tech with lifestyle, function with fashion and protection with elegance.
Well done, Pure Electric!
The jacket has totally become a favorite in my closet that I don't want to miss anymore. And I am excited to test the trousers (together with the newly labeled jacket, of course!) on my next trip … It's going to start in just a few day and it's going to lead along the Atlantic Coast of Ireland––the Wild Atlantic Way. Stay tuned!
