The Sand to Snow started in Monterey in April 2016 and led us from Coastal California through the high-tech forge of Silicon Valley, to the signal-free wilderness of the USA. We spent 180 hours in the saddle of our Haibike SDURO ePerformance bikes enjoying breath-taking scenery in some of the world’s most famous national parks.

Braving burning heat, strong winds, heavy rain and freezing temperatures we rode from the lowest point of North America over the highest mountains of Western USA. Steadily supported by the Yamaha drive system, we cycled 5,000 kilometers (3,100 miles) and climbed a record-breaking total of 57.000 meters (187,000 feet). We survived weeks in the desert, crossed rivers, and got stuck in mud and snow before we ultimatelly reached the destination of the biggest Pedelec Adventure to date – Denver Colorado.
